Post Loot Policy
Already Dead Loot Policy v3.3

We use an EPGP system for loot distribution in all 25 man guild raids. EPGP is a system for prioritizing loot based on two measurements. Contribution of time to the Core Raid Team is measured in terms of EFFORT POINTS (EP). The system also measures the relative amount of loot a player has attained in terms of GEAR POINTS (GP). The system then uses a formula to calculate priority. That formula is EP / GP = Priority Ratio (PR).

During loot distribution, we compare each player’s relative priority (PR) to determine who a given piece of loot will be distributed to. Baring other factors, the player with the highest priority (PR) will win the loot. For a more complete explanation of how EPGP works you can visit the following web site - http://www.epgpweb.com/help/system

Please review the forums below for further loot policy clarifications.

The REQUIRED EPGP Lootmaster Addon can be found here - http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addo ... aster.aspx

EFFORT POINTS – We have divided the raid content into two sections. Gearing content will be worth less EP as it represents less challenge and there is a higher likelihood of loot rewards. Progression content will be worth considerably more EP as it represents more challenging content with a lower likelihood of loot rewards. EP on Gearing content will be awarded for boss kills.

EP for Progression content will be awarded 3 ways:

1) Progression Attempts - Each legitimate attempt on a boss or new encounter. Accidental pulls will not count. The Raid Leader will inform the raid if an attempt is NOT being counted as a progression attempt. This EP will be awarded after each attempt.

2) Boss Kills - EP will be awarded for each successful boss kill. This EP will be awarded prior to loot distribution.

3) Raid Goals - We will set aside a pool of 15,000 EP to be awarded for specific raid goals during the night. The Raid Leader will communicate what our goals are at the start of the raid and the officers will decide if we have achieved our goals at the end of the raid. These awards will occur at the end of the raid.

Content is divided as follows:

Onyxia’s Lair – EP/GP

Decay

Decay Rate = 8% per Raid (Tuesday and Sunday ONLY when scheduled)

GEAR POINTS – Items (loot) in WoW give you certain benefits (other than making you look cool). That benefit is determined by the items slot, its rarity, and its iLevel. Slots are represented as Head, Chest, Ring, etc… and are weighted in relation to their overall benefit. Rarity is indicated by iLevel and color (green, blue, purple, etc…). The iLevel of an item can be displayed by adjusting your interface settings and it represents how powerful that item is in the specific slot given the rarity of the item. For example not all epics are equal. An epic from a heroic raid dungeon typically has a higher iLevel than an epic from a normal raid dungeon. A good example of this would be epics from 10ToC (iLevel 232) vs. 10ToGC (iLevel 245).

For a detailed explanation of how the GP formula is calculated please visit the EPGP web site at: http://www.epgpweb.com/help/gearpoints for more information.

LOOT DISTRIBUTION

In general, loot will be distributed to the highest bidding PRIORITY RATIO (PR) individual, giving priority to MAIN SPEC bids 1st, OFFSPEC bids 2nd, and finally, TOY bids will be considered prior to disenchant.

Under certain circumstances EPGP and PR will not be used to determine loot distribution. This would apply to items such as bags, mounts, keys, etc… The officers will do their best to inform you of exceptions prior to the raids. Most of these exceptions will be distributed via random roll (/rand 100). In cases were keys are awarded we will do our best to give them to members or officers who have an exceptional attendance record so they can continue to benefit the CRT on future raids. Legendary items will have specific distribution rules spelled out in detail in the forums below.

We classify loot in three (3) distinct roles that coincide with your primary talent spec: Tank / Physical / Caster

By Class:

Paladin – Tank (prot) / Physical (ret) / Caster (holy)
Warrior – Tank (prot) / Physical (fury or arms)
Shaman – Physical (enhancement) / Caster (resto or elemental)
Hunter – Physical (all specs)
Rogue – Physical (all specs)
Druid – Physical (feral) / Caster (resto or balance)
Warlock – Caster (all specs)
Priest – Caster (all specs)
Mage – Caster (all specs)
DeathKnight - Tank (any) / Physical (any)

Any item you bid on for your MAIN SPEC (and win) will be FULL COST.

Certain Core Raiders may be asked to maintain an OFFSPEC in terms of talent and gear. An officer will let you know if you qualify for an official OFFSPEC. Assuming you are qualified for an OFFSPEC, any item you bid on for an OFFSPEC ROLE (and win) will be 10% of cost.

Unfortunately there is some ambiguity for certain classes when it comes to OFFSPEC items. For example, it is often difficult to determine the difference between Priest Healing gear vs. Priest Caster DPS gear or Druid Feral Tank gear vs. Feral DPS gear. Under our policy ALL Priest gear is Caster gear and is therefore FULL COST. Similarly, ALL Feral Druid gear is Physical gear and is therefore FULL COST. We recognize this is inherently unfair when we specifically ask people to maintain an OFFSPEC for the benefit of the CRT. The objective of our Loot Policy is to put gear into the hands of people who can use it for the betterment of the CRT but our policies also have to be fair and equitable for everyone. To that end, you may bid OFFSPEC on an item that is a higher iLevel than your current MAIN SPEC item and/or you can bid OFFSPEC on a
piece of MAIN SPEC gear if you intend to use it specifically for OFFSPEC. We prefer to treat everyone like adults and we will assume everyone is making loot decisions in the best interest of the CRT but we will follow up to make sure people aren’t abusing the policy. Any abuse of the loot policy can result in dismissal from the CRT.

Anyone may bid TOY for any item they want during a raid. TOY items have a fixed cost based on iLevel. Currently iLevel 245 items are 70 GP.

Certain rules apply to TOY bids related to iLevel. If you currently have an item of equal or higher iLevel to the item you are bidding TOY on you are eligible to receive the item at TOY cost. If you do not currently have an item of equal or higher iLevel to the item you are bidding TOY on then you are NOT eligible to receive the item at TOY cost and will be asked to pay FULL COST if you still want the item.

Specific Item Costs

There will be an updated Google Spreadsheet linked in the forum below that lists the overall cost for each iLevel and gear slot. Everything should be clearly labeled but let us know if you have any questions and we'll get back to you ASAP.

BoE Epics/Bank Epics

BoE epics not distributed on raids will be put into the guild bank. These items will be available to Core Raiders and Raiders on a periodic basis. The Loot Officer will makes these items available for bid prior to raids. We will charge GP for these items. After several attempts to distribute these items to CRT members we will open these items up to the general membership via bank request. Once the items are available to the general membership we will no longer charge GP. Any items sitting in the bank for an extended period of time we will be subject to sale on the AH to fund the guild bank. If you are interested in an item you must respond with a BANK REQUEST post on our forums.

If you have any questions regarding Loot Policy please contact one of the officers or discuss it with Dawg.

Post Re: Loot Policy
Specific Loot Policies going into Ice Crown Citadel - 12/07/09

Google Spreadsheet - http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key= ... ClZ_Xz5Q4Q

Orbs

Crusader Orbs = 35 GP (each) Priority will be given to Core Raiders on these items.

Runed Orbs = Bank Request Only - No GP

Set Piece Trophy

Trophy drops in ICC will be charged out at 495 GP for iLevel 264 set pieces.

Core Raiders will receive Priority on all Trophy drops in ICC. Anyone may bid on these drops but they will go to the highest priority Core Raider first. If a Core Raider does NOT bid on a trophy drop the trophy will go to the highest bidding Raider. If a Raider does NOT bid on a trophy drop the trophy will go to the highest bidding Member, Applicant, or Outsider. Any ties in priority will be resolved with a /roll.

In general, you must have an existing piece ready for upgrade to bid on a trophy. Since no one will have the required item when ICC launches we will implement this policy at such time as it becomes necessary.

Disclosure: The officers decided that priority for trophies was an adequate reward for Core Raiders in addition to receiving priority when filling raids. We fully understand the impact this will have on our Raiders and we reserve the right to reverse this policy if we feel our Raiders are not gearing up quickly enough to participate and help with CRT functions. I'd also point out that should all Core Raiders take advantage of this policy in 3.3 the result will inevitably lead to priority shifting to Raiders for non-set pieces by default.

Trophy drops from Trial of the Crusader will continue to be 100 GP.

There will be no Priority on Trial of the Crusader Trophy drops.

Legendary Weapons

Our policy for legendary weapons is still under consideration but we have come to the following conclusions:

A) As a guild, we will focus on creating ONE legendary item at a time instead of splitting resources amongst several individuals. The thought behind this policy is as follows: It takes ZZZ amount of time to gather the components necessary to make 1 legendary item. If you have several people trying to gather the necessary components it will take (ZZZ) x (# of people) and during that time the CRT doesn't benefit. For example let's assume it takes 2 months to gather the components for a legendary item and let's assume we have 3 people interested in pursuing it. If we split the resources it would take us 6 months to gather the materials. At the end of the 6 months we make 3 legendary items. In contrast, if we focus on 1 at a time, we make a legendary item every 2 months, and we get it into the hands of someone who is going to use it to benefit the raid team for the next 4 months. In that time we would make a second legendary which would benefit the CRT for 2 months before the final legendary is made. I know it sucks to be the 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th person in priority to receive a legendary item but as a guild we are committed to getting these items made.

B) We are committed as a guild to do whatever is necessary to make legendary items. If this means we wipe 5 times in a row so people can get breathed then we will wipe 5 times in a row. All of the officers are committed in terms of time to helping with quest lines or other things you need to make these items. I'm willing to bet many of your fellow guild members will be too. :)

C) Legendary items WILL cost GP but we will NOT determine priority for legendary items using the EPGP Priority Ratio. People should be focusing on gearing up in ICC and we want people to use their loot priority to get better gear.

Post Re: Loot Policy
STANDBY POLICY

Standby is defined as being on-line for the entire duration of the raid and available to join the raid as needed.

Standby EP will be awarded in only 3 situations:

1) Too many Core Raiders and/or Raiders show up for a Raid and someone is asked to sit out. To qualify for Standby EP you must log in on time and meet the criteria for receiving the Attendance Bonus prior to the Raid. This also assumes you *want* to go on standby and will be available for the entire raid (you don't have to go on standby and if you prefer to do something else with your time then that is totally understandable).

2) During a Raid if the R/L asks someone to sit so we can swap someone else in for higher DPS, Healing, etc... the person asked to sit will be placed on Standby.

3) Someone not currently in the Raid can be placed on Standby by specific request of the R/L in situations where we feel we need a backup in a specific role. The R/L will specifically ask the person if they are available to go on Standby and the R/L will communicate this to the Loot Officer. The person asked to go on Standby will need to be available to come into the Raid as needed.

Anyone on Standby EP will receive 100% of all Boss Kill EP, excluding any BONUS EP for 1st or 2nd Boss Kills and Achievements. Standby will NOT receive progression attempt EP.

If you log on late (after the Raid starts) please do not ask to be placed on Standby. Raid Leadership will be proactive in making sure we place people on Standby if we feel there is a need to do so.
