Already Dead
Guild Charter
Introduction
Already Dead is a raiding guild on the World of Warcraft Alleria server. The guild was founded on the principles of Friendship, Respect, and Fun. The officers and leadership of the guild will strive to make Already Dead a place where people can group together in pursuit of the friendship and fun while offering a respectful and courteous playing experience for all members. Our official guild colors are Red and White. Our Tabard is a while skull and crossbones on a red field.
Leadership
The guild will be comprised of a Guild Leader, a Raiding Officer, an Administration Officer, a Statistics Officer, a DKP Officer, and a Recruiting Officer. Additional officers may be added if needed to keep up with the size and scope of the guild. Guild Leadership will make ALL decisions impacting the guild however ALL decisions will be made with our founding principles in mind. All members of the guild should feel empowered to make suggestions to the officers on any aspect of the guild and the guild leadership will make every effort to seek out the opinions and ideas of the guild membership prior to making any decisions. Decisions need to be made and some decisions will need to be made in a timely manner. We will not expect everyone to agree with 100% of the decisions we make in running the guild but we will expect everyone to get on board and live with those decisions. We will make a commitment to the guild to explain each decision as fully as possible while giving guild membership as much insight and input into the decision making process as needed.

Membership
Guild membership will be comprised of Core Raiders, Raiders, and General Members. Already Dead is being structured as a raiding guild. We are willing to accept all applicants who pass through our recruiting process but raiding will be limited to a select group of people who make a commitment to raiding.
We will maintain a Core Raid Team (CRT) as the primary raiding force for the guild. If you wish to become a member of the CRT please review the information and application process
here. To be designated as a Core Raider a member must commit to raiding 2 nights a week, currently:
Tuesdays & Sundays. In addition, Core Raiders must show the dedication required to keep their status by showing up on time and showing up with the required consumables for your class/role. All Core Raiders will be evaluated based on class, gear, talent spec, and dedication. Maintaining your status as a Core Raider will require some work but our intention is to make the commitment and requirements as relaxed as possible so everyone can enjoy raiding. Core Raids will receive loot priority, DKP bonuses, or other incentives which will help the guild progress into new content.
Raiders will comprise all members who are not able to commit to the requirements needed to maintain the Core Raider status. The Raider rank will also include any members who are joining the guild hoping to be promoted into a Core Raider slot. Raiders will be required to sign up for any raids they want to attend. Raiders will fill slots on the raid teams when Core Raiders are not available to participate on a raid. Please see our Raiding Policies for the specific criteria used to fill raids.
General Members are any member who wishes to join the guild as a casual gamer. We are committed to providing a fun and relaxing gaming experience for people and everyone is welcome. General Members will not be granted any raiding status however we will establish a schedule of open guild raids and retro raids (older content) where all members can participate and have fun. These events can be scheduled formally or informally and will be filled with preference given to non-raid members where applicable.
Recruiting
Our recruiting efforts will be focused on filling open slots on the CRT. All recruits will have to fill out an application and submit it to guild leadership for approval before joining the guild. Applicants will be evaluated and either approved or rejected by the Officers of the guild. Every recruit applying to Already Dead must designate their primary character and the primary role they wish their character to play on raids. Please see our
Recruitment Policies for more information.
Expansion Policy
Our expansion policy is quite simple: It only exists as a check to make sure you read this document. When you are filling out our application, you will be asked about our Expansion Policy. The answer is to choose your favorite animal cracker shape. An example of this would be a monkey.
Raiding
We will publish and update a Raid Plan detailing our goals and objectives for raid progression and content. The Raid Plan will be updated once a month or as needed by the Raid Officer. All Core Raiders and Raiders will need to familiarize themselves with the goals and objectives of the guild and commit to meeting those goals and objectives by the timelines outlined in the Raid Plan. Additionally, we expect all members to have read our
Raid Team Policies,
Raid Team Loot System, and
Raid Team Expectations in advance of attending any raids with Already Dead.
Our Raid Plan can be found
here.
Code of Conduct
Treat your fellow guild members with respect. We are committed to making Already Dead a place where people can gather to have fun while playing a game. We will have little tolerance for people who show a lack of respect toward their fellow guild members. Profanity will be tolerated to a point but if taken to excess or if members complain about it we will ask that you moderate your language. We will discourage all discussions related to politics, religion, gender bias, sexual preference, or any other inflamatory topic. Harassment, sexual or otherwise, will not be tolerated. Additionally, you have a responsibility as a member of the guild to speak up if something being said in guild chat or over Vent is offensive to you. The Officers will do their best to police these issues but we need everyone in the guild to act in a mature and responsibly manner. The bottom line here is to treat people with respect and expect the same in return.
