Recruitment Process

Targeted Recruitment

Already Dead is, fundamentally, a raiding guild. Recruitment will be targeted specifically for raid progression. Anyone is free to apply to Already Dead, BUT the Core Raid Team has some strictly policies and a separate application process. Please see our Raiding Policies for more information on how that works.

The Process

  1. First things first, you must sign up for and activate your Forum account. This account name is required to be the same as your Main Toon you are applying to Already Dead with.
  2. You will now go read our Charter and Raid Team Info (please note, even if you are not planning on raiding with us, we require that you have at least read our Raid Team policies). The application form specifically asks questions about these policies, so just take the time right here and now to actually read them. Missing questions on our application form should be equated with us laughing at you as we deny your application.
  3. After you've read our Charter and Raid Team info, you need to fill out our application form. Be sure to understand that our application is taken seriously as part of the recruitment process. Again, screw up your application and you'll be denied. We don't feel it's out of line to ask you to spend a little time to apply to our guild.
  4. Once your application has been submitted, you can watch our Application Status Forum to see the status of your application.
  5. At this point, you will either be accepted, flat out denied, or asked to meet with us on our Vent server to discuss your application. There may be additional requirements.

If you are Accepted
  1. You will need to meet with an Officer for an interview to insure you understand our policies and raiding system.
  2. You will be given a guild tag with the rank of Applicant. If your intention is to become a Core Raid Team member, then you need to demonstrate your willingness and ability to show up prepared for all of our Core Raids. Please see the Raiding Team Info for more information.
  3. During your three week application period, you are expected to actually be online to do things with the guild. Beyond that, you are expected to get 3 additional people to support you for raising to Member status (your initial application sponsor does not count). We don't expect you to be pestering folks, but after you've grouped with folks a few times, it's okay to mention that you need some support to become a Member. You will be able to check the status of your Applicant period at any time via the forums.
  4. At the end of your application period, you will either be removed from the guild or you will be promoted to at least Member status. How much of a promotion you receive will be directly impacted by your involvement with the guild and ability to commit to our raid schedule. Please note, there is absolutely nothing wrong with just being a normal, non-raiding member of our guild!

If you are Denied
  1. You can re-apply 30 days from when you were denied.

If you are Asked to Meet With Us
  1. This is not a bad thing. It just means we have some questions that need to be answered.
  2. We will set up a time with you and meet on our Vent server to discuss whatever.
